Epic Leadership Fail

He did not seek guidance from the LORD. Therefore the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse. – 1 Chronicles 10:14
We tend to go to God when nothing else is working.  That is an epic leadership fail. God has every right to expect to be the first voice we seek.
Do you have a way you listen to God?  Do you make room for his voice?  Do you wait eagerly for him to speak?

  • 1 Samuel 15:12 perhaps gives some insight to the root of the failure: Samuel rose early in the morning to meet Saul; and it was told Samuel, saying, “Saul came to Carmel, and behold, he set up a monument for himself, then turned and proceeded on down to Gilgal.”
